A lovely little antique Scherenschnitte (a/k/a scissor-cutting) of two love birds sitting atop a double-handled urn.  I've placed the love birds in a period gilt frame where I floated them on red acid-free paper with a small bit of Japanese rice paper.  The framed size is 4: x 3 3/8" not including the brass hanging look at the top of the frame.  The size of the Scherenschnitte is 2 1/4" x 2".  Please remember that you are looking at a greatly enlarged photograph....larger than the actual piece.  Circa mid-19th century.
