Well, it is Spring in Houston and orchid time in the McClard-Segotta gardens. In fact, it is so Springtime, that we will be planting our tomato plants in the ground this weekend. Before you get too jealous of our "long" tomato season, realize that it gets so hot so early here that we actually have a very short tomato season here. We hope to have our first picked tomatoes towards the end of March and the plants will be finished and dying of heat by mid-May.
But it is beautiful here now and I've been prowling with the camera in the backyard and here are some of the flowers blooming now.
