Beautiful extra large round pewter charger with single-beaded edge, rounded lip and shallow bowl. It’s hard to find 16 ½” chargers from the early 18th century that display as well as this beauty. The charger has been cleaned but still shows a lovely patination that only comes with centuries of use. The front of the charger bears the initials of an owner “D G A”. There is a faint repair along the lip and a small wave at the edge (see close up photos below). The back includes very faded touchmarks (see last photo with arrows pointing to marks). Dutch / Flemish. Circa 1700.
