Lovely young lady dressed in her finest blue, drop-waist, Victoria
sleeves (tight above and full below the elbow), pèlerine,
straw hat with flowers sewn into the brim and ribbons festooning the
back, and a fur stole. This may have been the young lady's wedding
portrait. It is illegibly signed in the lower right corner in
pencil upon the graphite background. The portrait is watercolor on
card and it resides in a period, possibly original gilt frame with wear
showing the red bole underneath. Framed size is 5 3/8" x 6 3/4".
