Beautifully executed watercolor portrait of a young, stern-faced boy
with a hoop and stick. The village in which he lives makes a
lovely background, complete with steepled church. His blue hat
lies on the ground to his left (our right). The tunic, gathered by
a belt and with a wide separate collar dates this portrait to circa
1830. In a period reeded frame measuring 7 1/2" x 8 7/8"
