A rare matched pair of tankards or mugs from the De Leeuw Fres (De Leeuw
Brothers), circa 1840, Brussels. The pair are eached marked "1/2
PINT" on the body. They display wonderfully scrolled handles
and rimmed bodies and feet. The patina is clean and mellow with
few expected scratches. The foot rim of one has probably had some
waviness straightened, which resulted in scratching of the bottom (see
the last photo). This is a really lovely pair. (#4337) Sold
