Antique pewter wine jug or flagon with beautifully cast shell
thumbpiece. Absolutely superb quality 18th century. Belgian
or French, possibly from the French city of Lille. Touchmark is "P*H"
inside a crowned rose. Grip perfectly molded. Beautiful clean patina
(polished within the last 50 years). Condition is very good, with an old
repair inside lid and very few minor dents. Circa 1790. 10"
