Unusual covered pot with a prominent wood finial and wood covered handles. This wonderfully desirable piece is signed, but I can't read the name. 12" from handle to handle, the bottom of the pot has a 7 1/2" diameter and it stands 9 1/2" to the top of the finial. A few assorted dings, but no repairs.

(#3327)      $495  Sale $250

The top row of touchmarks has 3 marks in a row. The outside 2 are fairly obliterated but might be two angels (which would be quality marks). The middle mark says 1799 and has a pinwheel or starburst below the date. Under the 3 small touchmarks is the pewterers mark which, as best I can tell, says J (or F) e (or c) D (or O) __ orlb. If you recognize this mark, I'd really appreciate a note.
