American pewter coffee pot bearing the mark "F. PORTER / NO. 1 / WESTBROOK". Freeman Porter worked in Westbrook, Maine from 1835-1865. This lighthouse shaped coffee pot measures 10 1/2" tall. The top slightly pushed in at the finial (still displays wonderfully). There is some scraping to top around finial which may have been caused by an attempt to pull out the dent at the top. No apparent repairs. The original black paint on handle is well worn. Nice medium grey patina. Classic American form of coffee pot by a desirable pewterer. (#4379) $450
