Magnificent tall antique pewter candlestick pair with simple elegance.
This 18th century pair will tower over your collection of candlesticks
(I love a collection of differently sized candlesticks all lit on a
mantle or sideboard). The 4 ¾” round stepped base rises to a simple
baluster turning which is toped by a flared stem. Atop the stem sits a
stepped base to the candlecup which gently swells to a slight belly
which is topped with a flare out to the attached bobeche. This circa
1760 French pair of candlesticks has a small amount of faint spotting on
their medium grey patina.
(#4710) $750/pr The last photo shows the three pairs of 18th century pewter candlesticks that I'm listing today. Be sure to give each pair a good look. |
