Nice deep-bowled chalice with knopped stem, turned and reeded lip, reeding where the stem attaches to the bowl and a nice step-down reeding on the base.  This lovely piece is 7" tall.  It has a dent on the lip, some minor pitting and a little staining inside the bowl.  A 10th century label on the bottom says "Late NE Beker [sic]/poss Reed/Barton/Mid 19c."  I'm not sure I agree with the assessment of the label, but have left it as part of the provenance of the piece.  The chalice is unmarked, could be American or English, circa (I believe) first half of the 19th century and might be Britannia.  Remember that Britannia has been made since the 18th century.  I'm still thinking lovely flower arrangements in the assortment of vessels I'm listing today.....
