I love this bright red box with green, yellow and black paint
decoration! The paint decoration is over a darker green ground so it is
possible that the box was originally solid green, although the paint
decoration is definitely early (first quarter of 20th century at the
latest—but I think all the paint is 19th
century). It has butt-end construction with all hand-cut nails. This one
will be a real showstopper by itself or as part of a stack. 12” x 6” x 4
