Fun and folky oil on canvas painting of a maple syrup farm in winter.
The trees are dotted with cans gathering the syrup. One person
tends a big cauldron over a fire while another person heads towards the
yellow house in the background. There is a small outbuilding below
the house and you can see the foot trails from both buildings to the
fire. The dawn is just breaking on this snowy day as you can see
by the plum color of the sky. 20" x 13 1/2". Circa first
half of 20th century. I like it just the way it is--unframed.
